Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann sought clarification on Director General of Police (DGP) VK Bhavra’s statement that the DGP had accused the famous singer Sidhu Musewala.Sidhu Moosewala) was called a gangster. The DGP said that Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for this murder. All aspects of the murder are being investigated in the investigation. He had told on Sunday that the murder of Musewala seemed to be the result of mutual enmity between the gangs and Lawrence Bishnoi gang was involved in it. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) will be formed to investigate this murder. Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bathinda Range, Pradeep Yadav has constituted a three-member SIT for an effective and speedy investigation into the murder. This team includes SP (Investigation) Mansa Dharamveer Singh, DSP (Investigation) Bathinda, Vishwajit Singh and effective CIA Mansa. Preetipal Singh is included.

A gang member from Canada has claimed responsibility for the murder.
The three gunmen have been identified as Sunny, Anil Lath and Bholu residents of Haryana and were already arrested by the Special Branch of Delhi Police in connection with the murder of Middukheda while Shaganpreet has been named as an accused in the FIR in the case. .
